Ceramics – Hand Building

Hands on pottery drop in at Makers Space Saturdays from 5-7.

Reserve your spot at anytime, or if you’re wanting a last minute activity, you can just show up at 5 and do one of the three planned projects.

Classes include:

• instruction
• 1 lb of clay
• templates and tools
• firing
• returning to glaze another day on your own 🙂

You can choose from three planned projects:

1. One Large (or two small) Decorative Tiles
   • Tiles are a great way to practice working with clay and doing fun glaze combinations
   • Celebrate holidays or events with handmade tiles!
   • Have a favorite phrase or image – here’s a unique way to display it!
   • Great as wall art, ornaments or even gift tags

1. Three Clay Ghosts
   • Basically, a 3d version of the tile!
   • Play with textures and glazing to make your bedsheets come alive
   • Spooky season will be here before you know it!!

1. A fun shaped plate or serving dish
   • We have templates for Toast, Monstera Leaves and Rectangular (with or without a divide)
   • Who doesn’t want a practical piece with added whimsy??
   • Handmade – for yourself, or a super personalized hostess gift!

Alternatively, if you sign up by Thursday (prior to the Saturday class) you may request a different project! As long as we have the materials available, we are happy to accommodate your request.
