Are you interested in the art of stained glass, but find the ENTIRE process a little intimidating? Not one to follow a pattern? This is the class for you!
With this class, we will not be doing any cutting/breaking of glass. You will have the fun of searching all the small pieces (the FIND of Find and Grind) to piece together a creature of your creation! Pictured is a bird, but perhaps you’re more of a cat, monster, bug person?
Participants will:
1. Select glass from a wide variety in store.
2. Learn how to safely use the glass grinder to shape your pieces.
3. Foil and burnish your pieces to prep for soldering.
4. Have access to a variety of wire and pliers to help pull your piece together.
5. Safely use a soldering iron to finish your piece.
6. Clean your piece for a nice finished look.
Safety glass and gloves provided.
You will take home a finished piece, ready to your desk buddy.
